Video storytelling, fundraising, supporter education

YouTube Nonprofit Program

Google's official YouTube Nonprofit Program page says verified nonprofits get access to nonprofit-useful YouTube features including link-anywhere cards, YouTube Giving features, and Creator Academy lessons.

Who it is best for

Charities using video to explain services, educate supporters, document impact, recruit volunteers, support campaigns, embed credible stories on landing pages, and build an audience around a cause.

Eligibility notes

Eligible organisations must first be verified through Google for Nonprofits and activate the YouTube Nonprofit Program; YouTube Giving availability is region-limited and Google's page currently notes it is available in the U.S.

Source-checked notes

  • Google's official page says the programme gives nonprofits access to link-anywhere cards, YouTube Giving features, and Creator Academy lessons tailored to nonprofits.
  • The page says YouTube Giving features can help with fundraising and rallying supporters, but also notes YouTube Giving features are currently available in the U.S.
  • For UK charities, treat YouTube primarily as storytelling, education, trust-building, and campaign support unless current YouTube Giving availability and fundraising rules are verified for the organisation.
